SAM & RUBY come from different parts of the world but seemed destined to make music together. Ruby Amanfu was born in Ghana, West Africa and spent her time hopping ponds with her Top 5 charted pop album, Smoke and Honey. Sam Brooker was raised in Green Bay Wisconsin and started making a name for himself in both the Nashville and NYC music scenes. They penned their first song together, "The Here & The Now" and the two would go on to perform the song at each other's shows and the audience immediately embraced them, giving rise to the dynamic duo of Sam & Ruby. Their song, "Heaven's My Home," was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2007. They will be performing songs from debut CD on Rykodisc called The Here and Now. |
