Steve Wariner tribute to Chet Atkins
STEVE WARINER is a superstar of country music. His latest project is a tribute to his mentor and friend Chet Atkins. Steve first met Chet in 1977, who then quickly signed Steve to RCA Records. Steve will be the sole guest on WoodSongs and be playing material for his new CD Steve Wariner c. g. p., My Tribute to Chet Atkins along with a couple of Steve’s hits. Steve scored his first hit record in 1980 and thus began a career that has spanned three decades, 25 Albums released, 18 1's and millions of records sold. In 2009, he won his third Grammy (this one in collaboration with Brad Paisley). As an FYI, The abbreviation "c.g.p." stands for "Certified Guitar Player," a title that Chet would bestow on only four guitar pickers: Tommy Emmanuel, John Knowles, the late Jerry Reed, and Steve Wariner.,
