| The EMMITT-NERSHI BAND is Drew Emmitt, the dynamic lead singer and mandolin player of Leftover Salmon, and Bill Nershi, the founding member of the String Cheese Incident. The idea for the Emmitt-Nershi band has been in the works for years as Drew Emmitt and Bill Nershi created a strong friendship at shows and festivals where they crossed paths. Rounding out the band is Andy Thorn, a young banjoist who is fast emerging as one of a new generation of hot pickers, and Tyler Grant, an award winning flatpicker and guitarist, who shows his true versatility by playing bass. Their first CD, New Country Blues, was just released on SCI Fidelity Records and delivers a dynamic blend of bluegrass, newgrass, country and Americana. |
DOUG & TELISHA WILLIAMS embody the true Southern songwriting tradition. Telisha and Doug met in the high school marching band; they soon started dating and Doug gave Telisha her first guitar. It was a partnership that was meant to be in more ways than one. Fourteen years later they are still touring the country from their Virginia home base, making music at festivals and coffeehouses nationwide. The songs for their latest record, Ghost of the Knoxville Girl, came from stories told across kitchen tables or between friends after a couple of pitchers at the Ten Pin. |
